I think it's one of the best spots for an easy getaway especially since it's close enough to just pop out for a couple of hours before returning to the grind. There's a great sense of energy in all the shops and their community events are fantastic - the boat festival and, my personal favourite, the scarecrow festival in the fall. I LOVE Mahone Bay.
