I like the heart-shaped pizza! Perhaps I could this with pancakes? Is it even possible?

We include our kids in our dinner on the big day and do a date after the 14th for ourselves. They love to help make something special for dad and mom. Last year it was little hearts hidden all over the house with messages on them telling why we love mom, dad, Olivia and Asha. They helped decorate the table and select the music. This year we plan to have pizza, a side dish (tba) and chocolate covered fruit with sprinkles.

Actually, you still did no. 1 & no. 2, Brad.... Seeing as Valentine's Day isn't until this weeking coming!

I liked your ideas - an inexpensive night at home sounds great to me, just as long as the date is planned ahead of time (to me, that's what makes it a date). We'll likely do some of the same things to keep to our budget. A walk by the river valley with the dogs (this tires them out for the evening and is a great walk... A small reminder of home) Swiss Chalet Take-Out ($20 for meal), movie at home ($5 or free if watching one of the 100 we own!), and dessert (M&M Meats). Basically, a perfect Valentine's day for $35! No crowds, quiet, comfort and we can enjoy the movie without people snickering behind us or texting on their phones in front of us!

Sounds like you two had fun! I always love your ideas!!
